Basically, they decided to take all the Continental GT bits and stretch them until they fit a Q7 chassis. Because innovation and an innovative design is too much to ask at 200k.

Looks like a test mule to me. Is there any indication at all that this is anything but?

Yes - the test mule was actually a Q7 bodied vehicle and was spotted before. This looks like a not very much disguised pre production car (the whole side panels are unique and line up with the front - too much effort for a mule if you can just put a Q7 shape over it.)

Right? Have we seen anything from any other car manufacturer in the last 5 years that would suggest anything other than strict adherence to "brand language"?

I still think it's strange it doesn't have any of the camo-wrap over it. I'm not sure I believe this is what the final design will look like.

That being said, if this was indicative of the released product, it wouldn't surprise me.

Oh, the closer they come to the release the less camo is necessary - in fact, Mercedes for example runs cars with two strips of Camo and a patch for the headlights when they are about to release a vehicle.

They should've stuck with the EXP 9 F. That was a stunning design. Honestly the best-looking SUV ever built, in my opinion.

It has a vaguely American look to it, yet it's still very British. It looks like something a 19th-century British general might ride over the hills to squish some poor Indians.

YES YES YES.

Thank god there's someone who likes it. It was modern enough to not feel like an old peoples car, but classic and statesman like to justify the badge and the price. Spot on.

Right!? It just ticked all the boxes! It's like an Escalade but less vulgar.

Not vulgar, but with presence. Elegant, but with the right amount of splendour.

Yeah, they carried over Bentley's design language without destroying it. And those wheels were the only wheels for it, they remind me of Art Deco "sunburst" motifs.
